Adult
Behavioral Health Services
DCI's Adult Services Division provides many different types of service to enhance the overall functioning of individuals age 18 and up. Our goal is to help develop and support the adult's participation in family and community living as well as their ability to live a healthy and productive lifestyle. Depending upon need and program specifications, services may be provided in the consumer's home, community or on-site at DCI's northwest Detroit facility.

Child, Family and Wraparound Services
DCI has been providing comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents and their families living in northwest Detroit and Redford since 1983. We are a leader in the area on treating children who exhibit signs of depression, violence, anxiety or those youth that are having difficulty functioning in their home, school or community environment.

Early
Childhood Services
The Early Childhood and Family Services division provides a full range of prevention, early intervention and treatment services for families with young children from pregnancy through age 5. We believe that a child's earliest relationships and care provide the foundation for healthy growth and development. Therefore, we are dedicated to providing services that nurture, strengthen and empower parents and caregivers, promote positive attachment relationships and encourage the development of young children to their highest potential. Many of our programs are free and open to anyone in the community. We welcome calls to talk about our services.

MI
Child
"MI-Child" is a medical and mental health insurance program for working parents of uninsured children. To qualify, your child must be a U.S. citizen, under 19-years of age, and have no other insurance coverage. You can apply through your local health department, the Department of Health and Human Services, or by contacting your own health plan. For more information about MI-Child, call 1-888-988-6300. School
Based Services
The school-based program is committed to providing youth at select Detroit Public and Highland Park Schools with a continuum of care aimed at addressing barriers to learning. Many children and youth have experienced traumatic or stressful events and exhibit behavioral problems in the classroom and at home. Our energetic team of experts who collaborate with our school partners take pride in empowering the youth and family to promote school success. The primary tasks include prevention and mental health education, early intervention/detection of emotional or behavioral risk factors, and provision of treatment to children, adolescents, and their families.

Jobs, Education & Training (JET) Program
The Jobs, Education and Training Program (J.E.T.) of Development Centers, Inc., a Michigan Works! Affiliate, in partnership with the local Michigan Department of Human Services is designed to assist Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (T.A.N.F.) recipients with employability and training skills which will lead to self-sufficiency. By connecting participants with the kind of jobs, education and/or training opportunities within our community, we will help them achieve this objective thereby meeting the workforce and skill needs of local Michigan's businesses. The goal is to assist the participant in finding the resources that they need to overcome obstacles and move up career ladders to self-sustaining, lasting employment. A Michigan Works! Affiliate.
