Quality Rating Improvement System - Brightmoor
The Brightmoor Quality Improvement Initiative is focused on providing quality early care and education to all children and families in Brightmoor area by first targeting the providers who give care and education to these children. The quality improvement plans are individualized for each provider and may include recommendations that target environmental and curriculum changes. Along with these quality improvement plans, the project also provides materials and equipment in order to facilitate providers in implementing the recommended changes. In response to the changes that the provider makes, they will get a quality rating of one to five “diamonds” (indicating ratings of high quality care) and will receive incentives based on these ratings. Improvement ratings will continue to be ongoing for providers as they strive to increase their rating and improve their services. Other benefits of the program with collaboration with Rising: Advocates for Young Children developed by the Brightmoor Childcare Provider Network:
