Last year, our highly acclaimed JET and JET-VET programs combined to assist over 3,000 enrollees with their quest to obtain work and become self sufficient. Today, we are proud to announce that we will be doing even more to assist our consumers in overcoming common roadblocks and to help find meaningful employment.
Our newly designed replacement program PATH (Partnership Accountability Training Hope) can now provide a more effective means for our consumers to assess their own individualized circumstances and subsequent barriers to hiring, as well as better connect each client with a broader range of specific resources needed to address those challenges.
These new PATH program enhancements will also be in keeping with the newly emerging guidelines being established by the Michigan Department of Human Services, the Work Development Agency, the Family Independence Program as well as our partnership affiliation with the Michigan Works! program.
As part of PATH, DCI will continue to assist our consumers obtain the basic hiring preparation and hands-on training experiences they need to acquire the work place readiness required to enter the labor market.
These skill sets include: job search skills, resume writing skills, computer skills, vocational training skills, interview skills, placement assistance, job retention services …and much more!
