Development Centers, Inc. (DCI) is a Private Non Profit Corporation that has provided a wide array of behavioral health and employment services to the residents of Northwest Detroit and Western Wayne County for over 20 years.
DCI has a long history of innovative and creative community based service development and cost effective service delivery. We were the first Community Behavioral Health Center to actually operate an Outpatient office in a Detroit Public School (1982). DCI was one of the original Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) programs in Wayne County (1985).
DCI is proud of our reputation with our funders for providing quality services and our complimentary Consumer Satisfaction Surveys. We are also proud of the fact that, since we were first surveyed in 1991, DCI has been awarded sequential 3-year accreditations by The Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF).
DCI also developed one of the first community based Mobile Crisis Stabilization (MCS) programs in the State (1997). With a staff of 125, we serve over 4,100 individuals and families every year.
